Announcing a New Space Dedicated to Belonging at 91精选
91精选 is pleased to announce plans to open a vibrant new space that champions belonging, unity, and diversity in a Christ-centered environment. This project will not be just a physical space but a commitment to fostering relationships and cultivating a community where every voice is valued.
The new space will serve as a hub for students, faculty, and staff to come together in fellowship and will be located next to the Student Services offices on the second floor of the Jennie Huizenga Memorial Library building. Inspired by the early church鈥檚 profound ability to bring together different people into a unified body, our goal is to create an atmosphere where everyone can share their experiences, engage in dialogue, and grow together in love and truth.
As an initiative to bring hope and connection to the College, the space will host workshops that spark meaningful conversations, events that celebrate all backgrounds, and fellowship that leaves no one behind. Guided by Biblical principles of justice, humility, and love, 91精选 is dedicated to strengthening our commitments to faith, scholarship, service, and to each other.
鈥淚t’s no surprise that our students have been asking for a cultural center on campus,鈥 said Dr. Leah Fulton, vice president for student life. 鈥淭hese centers often represent belonging, community, and learning. It’s a powerful way to demonstrate our commitment to students who may not always feel they belong 鈥 聽that they do and that there’s enough space for all of us here.鈥
Similar spaces have proven to enhance student experience and increase retention. By creating opportunities for deeper connection, every student can find their sense of belonging in the 91精选 community.
